Ya you can't tell to the extent how good a team is by how many players are on club teams. I don't know what you mean by the bench playing starters, and from what i remember the op team a couple years back had all club players(Teams did well too) except for Nowak, who is an awesome athlete.
We'll see how it goes. Saying any highschool team is not going to not drop a match for 2 years might be saying a wee much.. let's see how it plays out

Those Eden, OP and Burnt Hills teams are a mere fraction of the skill of the McQuaid teams the next two years.

| Yes....someone with half a brain! Making predictions is one thing, but making outlandish ones is another. Especially when you have zero coaching experience or zero experience playing at the next level. |

Damn tootall! Ur gettin pretty damn smart!!! :) You bet! The formula for winning is have a good crop (like frontier) playing. POWERHOUSE is a crop that has GREAT players playing!! i.e: burnt hills, OP (sevral times), Eden (sevral times), Frontier (94-97), Lancaster 2001-2002, Webster before the split!! Those are powerhouses!!! Oh and Victor last season!!!! I would bet Mcquaid will be EXCELLENT! like they are 9 outta 10times!! Lex

Who will be the powerhouses and section champions in section 5 and 6 for the 2010 season for boys high school volleyball?
There will be no powerhouses...there are some good players out there, but I would reserve the word "powerhouse" for a team like Orchard Park a couple of years ago or Eden the years they went undefeated or Burnt Hills three years ago when they beat Orchard Park.
Dan is good, yes, and his setter is pretty solid as well, but powerhouse?! I think we would need a couple guys at his level on that team to start throwing around that word.
A good reflection would be your club teams. Look at your "winning" club teams this season and if there are three or more guys on that team that play on the same hs team, you may have a "powerhouse". In the past, in WNY, that was a pretty good formula...

| Mcquaid, victor, rh, and w. iron. are going to be the top teams. However all the teams except for mcquaid have no depth. Mcquaid is going to have 10+ club players on their team. |
