Loyola Names Kevin Moore Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach

CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago head women's volleyball coach Chris Muscat has announced the hiring of Kevin Moore as an assistant coach. Moore comes to Chicago after three-plus seasons as the head men's volleyball coach at Juniata.

"Kevin is a great addition to the Rambler family and women's volleyball program here at Loyola," said Muscat. "Kevin instantly impressed me with presence and ability to think about the game. His experience as a head coach on the men's side and as a coach within the USA national team pipeline will continue to reinforce, and help develop, the systems and incredible talent that we have in the Loyola program."

Hired at Juniata prior to the 2011 men's volleyball season, Moore enjoyed a tremendous run of success, guiding the Eagles to an 86-37 (.699) record during his tenure at the Huntingdon, Pa. school, which is currently ranked No. 1 in the AVCA Division III poll. He trained five American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-Americans, eight all-conference selections and a pair of conference newcomers of the year while at Juniata and guided the team to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament last season.

Moore was at the helm as Juniata transitioned from the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) to the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) in 2012 and he earned CVC Coach of the Year honors last season after earning the 2011 Bob Sweeney Coach of the Year award in the EIVA in 2011.

He took over at Juniata after two seasons as an assistant coach at George Mason and previously served as the head boys' volleyball coach at Gates-Chili High School in Rochester, N.Y. from 2004-08.
