No, I am not...and I don't have any info on that aspect. Right now, I am just relaying information from Penfield to these boards since I have an account here and can keep an eye on it in case anyone has questions. They just wanted to get the information out there...

So now Penfield is advertising for a head coach. Makes me wonder even more.

I guess wonder (again) about the circumstances surrounding the coaching change there, considering the program's success.

Alright, Setter20, you were there for a part of Glovers first runs - Penfield history - Penfield wins "semi states" for the first time, and a few times to come, and You’ve been their setters coach for 3 years in a row. Penfield goes on to win as the State finalists. You ultimately had challenged and taught their setter from 2002-2005 and taught her well. Glover was a fantastic coach who brought the rest of the team as far as they were capable of going their first 9 years with him and you were a part of those - beneficially to one setter in particularly but to many players in general from those teams! The setter and the coach loved having you on board!!! They went on to win our “semi statesâ€￾ for 3 more years and came in as a runner up of his last year in the “ fall class AA statesâ€￾.
Glover has now rediscovered the 18-2 Mystery team that he & Brazener coached to winning the VFX Winter challenge. Take a challenge yourself and step in to ask to take over Penfield varsity - we can vouch for your credentials as a setter's coach, having worked with Glover, having shown the knowledge to advance setters and help the team in general. Volley5...first of all thank you for the compliments. My times with Glover were times were what started my coaching career off and I learned a ton from him. Right now I'm still in school in Albany in my junior year. Trust me, if I was in Rochester and able, I would do what I could to help this program along. With that being said, right now I'm interested in doing that in a less direct way. By that I mean that I'm trying to get information out there about this position and trying to get a coach in there who will do something beneficial for the program. Even though I might not be able to do that by stepping in, I still have a personal interest in seeing this program succeed. I still know some of the girls on the team and know much of the volleyball staff in Penfield very well. So pretty much what I am trying to do is help the program find the right person for the job by being a liason on these boards if necessary and by spreading the word to people who I believe would do a good job.

I appreciate the nice post and do hope that Penfield finds the right person for the job because this program has been built up so well and the girls there work extremely hard to achieve what they do. It has been nice to have such a successful girls and boys program all from one school and I hope that will continue to be the case.
