Mercy @ Pittsford Sutherland tonight.......7pm

It should be pretty entertaining!

It sounds like last night's match of Mercy vs. Wester Thomas was pretty exciting. Mercy won in 5 sets after losing the first 2. 5th set was 26-24. Any first hand accounts?

Penfield put up a good fight in the first set and Irondequoit controlled the next two sets. Irondequoit has an excellent team and should have a great shot at states this year (Great possible match-ups with Canandaigua and/or Victor!). Cushman is fun to watch (even if you’re on the other side).
Penfield is young, having three freshmen and a sophmore on the floor during a good portion of the match.

Webster Thomas and Mercy: exciting match. Felt like playoff/championship atmosphere.
Canandaigua and W. Irondequoit: could be a rematch, Victor is in "A". They will duke it out with Pittsford Sutherland, Mercy and Arcadia (I'm predicting Victor and Sutherland).

Mercy has some things to work out (new coach, injuries, etc) but I think they will be a threat come sectional time.
