Officials Clinic? was created by Pcoach
Does anyone know when/where/how someone can get certified to officiate next season's contests?

A snippet of a note they just sent out.
At this point, the classroom sessions are scheduled to begin January 30th and run two nights a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) through February 15th. The classroom sessions generally run from 6:00-9:00. The location is still being determined at this time. Once the classroom sessions are complete, candidates then move into the gym for practical sessions with actual teams playing and veteran board members offering feedback. These sessions are set up on various nights at different locations depending on gym space and team availability. Getting all candidates reviewed and rated usually extends from late February through the end of April. Our clinicians understand this is a large chunk of time and realize everyone will not be able to attend all the sessions and we will work with everyone to accommodate your schedule and get you properly trained.
All new official candidates will be required to complete a written test (multiple choice – take home) and a rating session in the gym (as a First Official and as a Second Official) in order to become certified.
The cost for the clinic this year will be $120.00 (this includes all classroom time, fees for reserving rooms, gym time, training materials, rule books, etc.)

I must be getting old, I remember side out scoring.
