So you want SOD/Blough to set a 6-2, and Desino to remain the opposite?? You can't have 3 players there. SOD should play OH since Blough is too talented a setter to have on the bench, then you have the two best passers passing in SOD and Logosh, Blough sets a 5-1 and Desino hits opposite. You can also make SOD the OH2 and have him set a couple rotations in the backrow occasionally. With the dynamic middles McQ will have, you need to solidify the passing first. Plus SOD will set enough balls in college, let him have some fun as a OH for a season. Oh and my boy Teddy Combs needs to be on the floor somehow cause that boy is a straight balla!

Dan - completely agree! Christy needs to be setting a 5-1 next year with SOD at OH1 -> SOD is more than serviceable at Outside, last I saw him play there he was bouncing balls over some experienced players in an ultimately losing effort in a men's tournament! Middles are locked in and Logosh is locked in. OH2 and RS you can basically do anything you want: Desino, Brendan Murphy (legit player - doesn't play club but he's ready to go as strictly a RS), Colby Herriman, Teddy Combs, and Tucker Witter (like his game). And once again, really talented players are going to be on the bench for McQ.

What about having Teddy Combs play libero and having AJ swing? I know he is short but the playah can swing. He bounces balls during hitting warmups at club tournaments.

Brendan Urlaub should be in consideration for the OH position. His brother was Chad Urlaub who swung at Outside last season and Brendan lives up to Chad's reputation not to mention he is a very good passer.

I agree though Blough is talented but he has also proved to be a valuable hitter for his club team. Maybe McQuaid will try him on the Outside or RS and leave O'Dell setting

Everyone must remember that many high school coaches (and even many college coaches) favor dedicated seniors who have put years into their program when playing time is an issue. Especially when you are either going to win or lose no matter who you put out on the court. Fair or unfair, right or wrong, it is just the way it is. Underclassmen often have to wait their turn. Club season is more important for them if they envision playing post high-school. The big tournaments is where the scouts are.

Coach Parks does love his seniors. That would make it-
Setter, ODell
RS, Murphy
M, Palermo
M, Lynch
L, Logosh
OH, Urlaub
OH, Desino
Incredibly loaded lineup, after a year of dominating Pace 17's Urlaub could be contending for AGR team. McQuaid should have two Varsity teams.

Would be very unlikely that the AGR would have more that 3 players from the same team. And the 3 AGR from McQuaid last year are all back.

I think McQuaid could have more than three players make AGR. However, Urlaub won't make it. I believe he will make honorable mention at best. O'Dell, Desino, Logosh, Palermo, and Lynch are all almost shoo-ins.

A good thing to look at is the bench for McQuaid this year will get a good amount of playing time since McQuaid will be crushing opponents next season they'll have to take out their starters at times.

Alright - enough about McQuaid. How about all the others? Westside? Eastside? What do they have lined up?

I would like to know a lot more on Rush-Henrietta, does anyone know who the kids are that are going to have to fill the big roles after graduating so many great players this past year?

I do. First of all they are returning numerous starters. This includes both middles (Shaun Ermi and Matt Cardot), their libero (Adam Kosloski), and a couple players who shared right side last year. I am unaware of their names but I personally think they will both make significant contributions both offensively and defensively. Next season I predict a lot of changes among RH. I believe Ermi might possibly hit outside, to name one.

Correct me if i am wrong, but i don't believe that there are any players that played club this year from Rush-Henrietta.

Ermi, Cardot, and Kosloski all play for PACE. One of the right sides plays for Victor and the other right side played for PACE last year.
