How does the D&C have all this information when they never publish it? Personally, I'd like to see preseason capsules in the paper this year.

That is definitely true also Austin is not a libero he does not have the defensive skills that are a necessity for liberia at the top level. Also logosh is now enrolled at McQuaid.

I like Austin on the first team because he is the best passer in Section V. I also think the 2nd team outsides hit and block so much better than the 3rd team's that they deserve to be there. I think the D & C sports writers are doing a great job with Section V Boy's Volleyball.
Can anybody confirm that AJ Logosh is actually attending McQuaid? If that is true then McQuaid will be the best team in Section V history this year. Only to be beat by the McQuaid team next year. McQuaid will probably not lose a match or tournament for a long time, probably many years.

I have heard that AJ was at the McQ tryout yesterday so it looks official. Of course Pittsford does not have a team. Also - his Dad is a Mcq alum.

I do not think mcquaid will be all that. They obviously have the talent but who knows if they will come together as a team. Irondequoit, penfield and rush are all very good teams it will be interesting to see how this year unfolds.

Most of their(Mcquiad's) 20+ member team places pace and they have 25% of the top 20 players in Section V...not to mention the #1 all around player in the area....they could go undefeated. And probably will do so. But I'm excited to see some good match ups this year with teams like Victor, Irondequoit and Rush. Victor obviously returns 2 Division 1 caliber players in Phillips and Glamack with a solid bench, Irondequoit returns some quite talented veterans who have played together for a while-I heard they also will have a new Head Coach in Rich Newton this season and Rush obviously has great talent offensively with Ackerle and Ermi and defensively with Sandral and Bischoping. However I don't think these groups have enough depth to compete with the overstocked Mcquaid. Nonetheless, there will still be some great, competitive volleyball to watch as usual in Section V.

O'Dell is not nearly as good as Glamack. If anyone can argue that I would like to know your reasons.

Very different players... hard to compare, however both are very valuable to their teams and you can count on them come sectional time to leave it on the court!! Should be a good season for many teams... lets see who is healthy and competing at the top of their game when it matters... Remember it takes a team to win a sectional title, Irondequoit, Rush and MCQ have great players but can the "TEAM" pull it off... Penfield has upset many teams in the past when the pressure was on the line, despite graduating several very talented players I am sure they will be ready to defend the title.. Its almost go time...

I don't think penfield will be able to compete Mcquaid Rush and Irondequoit. Cody and Latwatsch are the only players who will be able keep up with all the stars on Mcq Rush and Irondequoit.

Penfield will compete. They are a very well coached team and will have excellent team chemistry despite the lack of talent (that they have had in recent memory).
